Xi'an High-tech Zone has become the main gathering area of China's electronic information industry development, attracting more than one thousand Fortune 500 companies and famous international and domestic companies such as Intel, Micron Semiconductor, Applied Materials, Honeywell, Simmtech, NEC, Walsin, Huawei, ZTE to settle in the zone. Many supporting business have also come to the zone to serve the Samsung project. By the end of 2014, Xi'an High-tech zone had attracted 74 supporting enterprises such as Air Products, Sumitomo, and Dongjin, with a total investment of about $ 438 million.

Local companies have also developed fast in recent years. Xi'an Semiconductor Industrial Park built by Shaanxi Electronic Information Group has invested 1.5 billion yuan to construct an ecological industrial park specializing in solar photovoltaic, LED lighting, and the semiconductor power industry. The project will be completed this year and produce an annual output value of 30 billion yuan.

The influence of the leading companies such as Samsung, Micron and Applied Materials in the industry will bring a number of their suppliers to the zone, which will complete the industry chain of Xi'an semiconductor and increase the industrial scale. Samsung project in Xi'an High-tech zone will not only contribute an annual output value of 100 billion yuan, it will also greatly enhance Xi'an's position in the semiconductor industry and improve the city's ranking, making Xi'an the second city in China in the semiconductor industry. More importantly, with the commissioning of Samsung's production, Xi'an has its eye of first place in the future. According to the plan, by 2015 the output value of the new generation of information technology industry in Xi'an will reach 300 billion yuan, becoming the third pole of China's information industry. By 2020, output value of the industry will reach 600 billion yuan. Xi'an will become the largest base of the information industry, which will promote China's industrial restructuring and upgrading in Shaanxi, accelerate the construction of the international metropolis of Xi'an and make Xi'an High-tech Zone a world-class science and technology park.
