Asian-African ministerial meeting concludes

JAKARTA, April 20 -- Ministers from Asian and African countries ended their meeting here on Monday in preparations for an Asian-African summit and the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Asian-African Conference later this week.

The ministers held discussions on sectors including trade ties, anti-terror cooperation and the Palestine issue, Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi told a press conference.

"The meeting went very well, very productive and very constructive," said the Indonesian foreign minister.

She added that the ministers at the meeting also discussed on the three documents of the Bandung Message, the Declaration of Reinvigorating the New Asian-African Strategic Partnership and the Declaration for Palestine.

Indonesian Foreign Ministry said 33 heads of state and government as well as representatives from 77 countries have confirmed their attendance at this year's meetings of th Asian- African Conference.
