SYDNEY, Mar 30 (People's Daily Online) – The University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) and UTS: Insearch announced on 30th March that they will become joint partners in the China Australia Millennial Project (CAMP), leading its Entrepreneurship Think-tank.
CAMP is a new initiative to bring the brightest young minds from Australia and China together to tackle challenges that are common to both countries, including how to foster entrepreneurship and innovation.
A number of think-tanks, each bringing together delegates from both Australia and China, will work on individual challenges under the guidance of industry and academic mentors. This will culminate in a summit in Sydney for 100 Australian and 100 Chinese young people, which will be hold during Vivid Sydney Festival early in June.
Ten high-performing applicants have been selected for the UTS Entrepreneurship Think-tank, coming from diverse backgrounds such as finance, online retail, technology and law.
As a partner, UTS will guide the 10 participants in the entrepreneurship think-tank, tapping into the extensive resources and networks of UTS Business School to help the contestants to solve these challenges.
CAMP also aligns with UTS and UTS: Insearch's extensive history of educational partnerships in China, including the one with Tsinghua University. UTS Vice-Chancellor, Attila Brungs and The Dean of UTS Business School, Professor Roy Green had been highly supportive of the partnership shared between UTS and CAMP. Professor Green says this partnership aims to foster young people's 'boundary-crossing skills', such as creative thinking and collaboration.
