KUNMING, March 28 -- Of the 103 people who got sick due to food poisoning at a village in southwest China's Yunnan Province, 82 have been discharged from hospital so far, local authorities said Saturday.

The patients suffered from stomach pains, diarrhea and nausea after attending a wedding feast on Thursday at Tanghai Village, Lufeng County, according to the information office of Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, which administers Lufeng.

As of Saturday night, 21 of them are still receiving treatment.

Initial investigations suggest they have contracted acute infectious gastroenteritis.

All affected people are in a stable condition and no patient is critically ill, according to the office.
