Authority: China's Aviation 10 Times Safer than World Average

China's aviation authority has said aviation safety in the country is ten times higher than the world average standard.

Li Jiaxiang, head of the Civil Aviation Administration, made the statement during an interview at the opening session of the 3rd Plenary Session of the 12th National People's Congress on Thursday, in Beijing, reports zjnews.com.

He said, according to the statistics of the International Civil Aviation Organization, China's entire aviation index including the safety index and the flight index, is ten times higher than the world's average level.

When asked about flight delays in China, Li admitted that the he had also experienced flight delay and explained it was caused by multiple factors. Adding that the Aviation administration has been regularly publicizing the flight punctuality rate on its official newspaper, to accept the public supervision.
