WELLINGTON, Feb. 10 -- New Zealanders are increasingly buying goods online from China, according to an analysis from a major Internet provider on Tuesday.

The analysis of statistics from the CallPlus network, which represents 15 percent of New Zealand's telco market, found more New Zealanders importing goods directly from China.

Chinese site aliexpress.com had broken into the top 25 most popular websites list, said a statement from the company, without giving its ranking.

"Sites such as aliexpress, along with dx.com and dhgate.com, have increased in popularity because they offer free international shipping to New Zealand," it said.

The analysis also showed a quarter of New Zealand Internet traffic went to Google and YouTube, with both websites coming out on top along with Facebook and New Zealand buying-and-selling site TradeMe.
