A museum in Beijing’s Xicheng district can give visitors an opportunity to experience a traditional temple fair and related culture, Feb 3 - 11, even though it is the smallest Spring Festival temple fair, thanks to its range of Beijing cultural items.
The museum, at 93 Tieshu Xiejie, will have traditional folk handicrafts, paper cuts, pinwheels, straw crafts, facial painting, New Year’s paintings, and "Shengguantu", a traditional board game, where players are officials trying to get a promotion or deal with obstacles.
There are also folk artists to teach the arts and some traditional snacks, such as crispy sugar-coated fruit, malt sugar candies and homemade yogurt.
