BEIJING, Feb. 2 -- China and the United States held their seventh consultation on strategic security and multilateral arms control in Beijing on Monday, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Baodong and U.S. Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Affairs Rose Gottemoeller co-chaired the meeting.
The two sides exchanged views on international security, bilateral security cooperation and the building of a new type of major-country relations between the two countries.
They agreed to enhance dialogues, cooperation and strategic trust on a basis of mutual respect and win-win cooperation, to promote healthy growth of China-U.S. ties and jointly safeguard world and regional peace and stability.
