KUNMING, Jan. 31-- Chen Hao was elected governor of southwest China's Yunnan Province Saturday.

Chen, born in February 1954, was elected to post at third session of the 12th Yunnan Provincial People's Congress, the local legislature.

He had served as vice governor and acting governor of Yunnan since October last year.
