In 2014, the total value of import and export of Xi'an Hi-tech Zone reached 180 billion US dollars for the first time, up 35.6 percent from 2013, which accounts for 75 percent of the total import and export value of Xi'an city and 69 percent of Shaanxi province. Xi'an High-tech zone has become a strong engine of the open economy in Shaanxi province.
