BEIJING, Dec. 22 --A legislator in north China's Shanxi Province has been expelled from the Communist Party of China (CPC) and dismissed from public office following a graft investigation, a party discipline inspection agency said on Monday.
Jin Daoming was vice chairman of the Shanxi Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee.
The investigation found that Jin took advantage of his post to seek profits for others, asked for and accepted "a huge amount in bribes". He received presents and cash and committed adultery, said a statement from the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI).
Jin seriously violated CPC discipline and is suspected of breaking the law, the statement said, adding his proceeds from breaking the party discipline will be confiscated.
His case has been handed over to prosecutors.
