BOGOTA, Dec. 21 -- A mudslide on Sunday left four people dead and two others missing in a rural area of the southwestern Colombian department of Cauca.
The disaster also cut water and electricity supplies to some 500,000 people, said Cauca Governor Temistocles Ortega.
The mudslide took place on Sunday in Bolivar after heavy rains. Several villages were cut off from the outside world as bridges and roads were destroyed. The main bridge that connects Bolivar with Mercaderes was also destroyed.
