CHONGQING, Aug. 23 -- Fiver miners were confirmed dead on Saturday in a colliery cave-in accident in southwest China's Chongqing, rescuers said.
Their bodies were retrieved early Saturday in the Dongsheng colliery in Nanchuan District of the municipality after a roof collapse occurred at 3:45 p.m. Friday in the mine and buried the five workers.
The privately owned coal mine is licensed and produces 150,000 tonnes of coal a year.
