The latest report released by Rabobank shows that Chinese dairy giant Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group has become the first Asian dairy enterprise to be ranked among the worlds' top ten dairy firms.
This is the best ranking not only for Chinese diary companies, but also for Asian ones, according to the 2014 Global Dairy Top 20 report issued by Rabobank on Tuesday.
Compared to the ranking of 2013, Yili moved up to two spots to No. 10 and China's Mengniu Dairy jumped from 15 to 14. Rabobank Analyst TimHunt believes that the presence of a Chinese dairy company in the top ten marks the rise of the Asian dairy business.
Nestle and Donone retain the first and second places respectively.
