San Francisco, July 1, (People’s Daily Online)--Thousands of San Francisco soccer fans decking out in red, white and blue flocked to giant TV screens at the civic center on Tuesday to cheer their national team in a World Cup knockout with Belgium.
However, the spreading fever did not change the cruel ending. Belgium beat the Americans 2-1 after extra time. Many soccer fans covered their faces while watching the live broadcast after their team was defeated by Belgium.
