BEIJING, June 19-- The international community should back China in its efforts to strike East Turkestan Islamic Movement and make concerted efforts to crack down on terrorist activities' influence on the Internet, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said on Thursday.
Chinese police have found that the movement has been inciting terrorism through the Internet in recent years, Hua Chunying told a daily press briefing.
The movement's cyber-terror activities not only encouraged terrorists and extremists inside China but also damaged the international and regional counter-terrorism situation, according to Hua.
She called on the international community to implement a UN General Assembly resolution on the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy to make joint efforts in combating cyber-terrorism
