BEIJING, June 7 -- China's National Meteorological Center (NMC) on Saturday renewed a blue alert for heavy rain in some southern and northeastern regions.
Parts of Yunnan, Hainan, Guangdong, Fujian, Liaoning and Jilin provinces, as well as Guangxi Zhuang and Inner Mongolia autonomous regions will see rainstorms, with precipitation up to 80 mm from Saturday morning to Sunday morning, the NMC said.
The NMC cautioned that students who take part in the national college entrance exam that takes place on Saturday and Sunday should leave home early to make sure they get to the exam spots on time.
China has a four-tier color-coded weather warning system, with red representing the most severe warning, followed by orange, yellow and blue.
