Denis Sassou Nguesso, president of the Republic of Congo, will make a nine-day state visit to China from next Wednesday, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said Friday.

At the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, Sassou Nguesso will also attend the World Culture Forum scheduled in Shanghai, Hong Lei said.
