College graduate launches organic agricultural cooperative in hometownXI'AN, May 29 -- A memorial stone at the former barracks of the Korean Liberation Army in the northwestern Chinese city of Xi'an was unveiled on Thursday morning.
Wang Lixia, deputy governor of Shaanxi Province, and officials with the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, and the provincial Foreign Affairs Office attended the ceremony. Park Sung Choon, the head of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK), and Jun Jae Won, consul general of Republic of Korea in Xi'an also participated in the ceremony.
During the ceremony, Zhang Baowen, the head of provincial Foreign Affairs Office reviewed the history that a great number of Koreans came to China during China's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and fought side-by-side with the Chinese against the Japanese invasion. Zhang also said that the monument will help people remember history and face up to the future.
