BEIJING, May 28 -- Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao met here Wednesday with a delegation from the Japan Business Federation.
"What is needed to mend China-Japan ties is Japan's right attitudes and proper handling of prominent problems related to history and the Diaoyu Islands," Li told Hiromasa Yonekura, chairman of the Japan Business Federation.
"China hopes the Japanese economic community will keep promoting improvement to the relationship," Li said.
He said China advocates that the relationship should be pushed forward on the basis of the four political documents between the two countries.
"As important neighbors, China and Japan should stick to the mainstream of peace, friendliness and cooperation," he said.
Yonekura, head of the delegation, said that the Japan Business Federation will make contribution to the improvement of the bilateral relations, as it is Japan's biggest economic group.
Japan Business Federation has a membership including about 1,300 representative companies of Japan.
