World Pakistan Tests New Missile

Pakistan on Monday successfully test fired Hatf 1 short range surface-to-surface ballistic missile, a press release from the Pakistan Foreign Ministry said.

According to the press, the short-range surface-to-surface missile can carry a variety of warheads.

``The new design allows a greater payload, improved accuracy and can successfully destroy targets'' up to 100 miles away, the government statement said.
