World International Aid Sent to Earthquake Hit Provinces

The Chinese chapter of the Red Cross announced February 4 that it has already sent the first installment of the 300,000 franc (1.54 million RMB) international relief donation to the earthquake stricken areas in Yunan, Liaoning and Shanxi provinces.

Between October 1999 to January 2000, these three provinces have been hit by earthquakes.

The Chinese Red Cross asked the Red Cross and other international relief organizations for aid and received the first installment February 2.
