Culture Photo Contest in HK to Celebrate Chinese New Year

A photo contest will be held in Hong Kong to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year, which falls on February 5 this year.

The contest, named the 2000 Cathay Pacific Chinese New Year Parade - Fuji film Photo Contest, is co-organized by the Hong Kong tourist Association (HKTA) and Fuji Photo Products Co., Ltd.

Participants can submit either film photographs or digital entries of the Chinese New Year float parade or anything related to the floats as the subject of their photographic creation, according to an organizer from the HKTA.

With the theme of the Year of the Dragon in the Millennium, the parade will take place on February 5, 2000. More than 10 colorful dragons will join the procession of 15 spectacular floats and over 40 international and local performing groups to celebrate the occasion.
