Business China Construction Bank Joins Hands with Nokia

The China Construction Bank (CCB) and the Nokia (China) Investment Co. Ltd. signed an outline agreement in Beijing on January 27 to establish a comprehensive cooperation relationship.

Under the deal, the CCB will provide Nokia with full-range banking services, including crediting, capital clearing, buyers' credit, letter of guarantee business, credit card, credit rating and other services, which will give powerful support to Nokia's business development in China.

The CCB is a State-owned comprehensive commercial bank, mainly engaged in medium-and long-term credit businesses, with branches and complete service systems all over the country.

Nokia is a famous transnational corporation in the field of digital mobile telecommunications. The company has advantages in GSM system and mobile phone market, with business operations in over 130 countries and regions.

A spokesman for the CCB said that since 1995 the CCB and the Nokia have maintained close business relations and have been working together in project financing, capital clearing and other areas.
