The picturesque Zhejiang Province in east China has vowed to work harder this year to further develop its tourism industry by organizing a number of promotion activities and improving services and infrastructure facilities.

According to sources with a provincial tourism meeting which closed here today, the tourism industry is set to earn 459 million US dollars in foreign exchange by accommodating an expected 1.04 million overseas visitors this year, an increase of 12 percent and 10 percent, respectively, on last year's figures.

Meanwhile, the province will try to attract 58.65 million domestic travelers for an estimated income of 42.4 billion yuan, up 15 percent and 13 percent on a yearly basis.
