Business China to Tighten Auction Market Control

China's State Administration of Internal Trade has urged local governments to strictly implement auction laws to fight against irregularities within the industry.

Strong measures should be taken to win the fight, said deputy director of the administration, Ding Junfa, adding that governments at all levels should also provide a favorable environment for auction companies.

China's auction businesses have been growing rapidly in recent years, bringing about fierce competition and an overcrowded auction market. As a result, irregularities and violations in the auction industry have occurred.
