Business CCB Provided 10 Bln Yuan Housing Loan in Shanghai in 1999

China Construction Bank(CCB) provided more than 10.2 billion yuan in housing loan in Shanghai, setting up a nationwide record, said Ning Liming, president of the CCB Shanghai Branch.

By the end of 1999, the CCB provided 27 billion yuan of housing loan in Shanghai. 296,000 families bought 24 million square meters of houses in Shanghai.

With a local real estate trading center, CCB supported the trading of old houses. CCB has also set up China's first consultation office providing information services for buyers.

CCB Shanghai Branch has promised to provide another 10 billion yuan in housing loan for the year 2000 to cater to the increasing housing needs of Shanghainese.
