Business China Securities and Futures Business Runs Test in 2000

China securities and futures businesses began trading on January 2, 2000 on a trial basis.

More than 4,000 securities and futures exchanges, telecommunication and settlement companies, as well as fund management companies took part in the first day trading in the new century, despite Y2K concerns.

Trading, settlement, market quotations and communication systems ran smoothly. Computer backup and data systems will continue until tomorrow.

Chinese securities and futures companies have successfully upgraded their computer systems after numerous tests in the past two years.
