World China Provides Assistance to Nepal

The Chinese government has provided 80 million RMB (9.65 million US dollars) in grant assistance to Nepal for development projects to be mutually decided upon by both governments.

An agreement on economic and technical cooperation was signed here Thursday by the governments of the two countries.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Zeng Xuyong, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal who signed the agreement on behalf of the Chinese government, said that China will continue to have economic and technical cooperation with Nepal.

"We will discuss new projects of cooperation which will focus on infrastructure, such as new highways, new technical schools and so on," said the ambassador.
