As the New Year of 2000 is upcoming, various big theaters and performing centers have arranged rich recreational activities for Guangzhou citizens. These include classic dramas, concerts and dances, which will create a joyful atmosphere for the new year.

"Our Good Place of Xinjiang", a full-length national song and dance program performed by Xingjiang's main theatrical troupes, which was back from their recent performance given in celebration of Macao's return, will be staged in the Friendship Theater on December 29-30. This superb song and dance program, which has been staged several times in Beijing this year, has been commented favorably by Party and State leaders.
