Business Tibet Reaps 12th Good Harvest This Year

Tibet's total grain yield is reportedly estimated at 917 million kg and rape at 38 million kg, up by 7.9 percent and 10.5 percent respectively this year, the 12th good harvest year. It is reported that some parts of Tibet were seriously hit by flood last year. Thereafter, the region has invested 400 million yuan this year, various localities have made early arrangements for agricultural production, extensively mobilized the masses and concentrated human, material and financial resources on the effort to restore water-wrecked facilities, transform low-yield farmland and sloping fields and apply more farmyard manure.
