Sci-Tech China Stresses investing in Science and Education

The National Bureau of Statistics show that China has spent more on science and education in the first ten months of this year.

According to the figures from the bureau, the aggregate investment in scientific research and poly-technical services from January to October reached 4.88 billion yuan (about 589 million US dollars), an increase of 10.5 percent on an annual basis.

The Chinese government has placed the development of science and education high on its agenda in an effort to accelerate the country's modernization process.
