A Kashmiri militant group, Lashakar-e-Dayyaba, has dismissed the Indian accusation of its involvement in the Indian Airlines plane hijacking, informed sources told Xinhua Saturday.

The group said their activities are targeted at Indian forces in the Indian-controlled part of Kashmir, but not the Indian people.

The Airbus-300 aircraft, with still some 160 people on board, was hijacked Friday on its way from Kathmandu, Nepal, to New Delhi and landed in Kandahar, the southern Afghan city, early Saturday.

Earlier, India said the hijackers have connections with the alleged terrorist Osama bin Laden, who is now living in Taliban- controlled Afghanistan, but the Taliban militia immediately rejected the accusation.
