World China Congratulates Zimbabwe's Ruling Party National Congress

The Communist Party of China (CPC) extended congratulations on December 16 to the third National Congress of the ruling Zimbabwe African National Union (Patriotic Front) (ZANU-PF) and wished it a resounding success.

The Chinese Communist Party sent a delegation, headed by Liu Mingzu, to the congress. Liu, member of CPC Central Committee and Party Secretary of Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, read a congratulation massage at the opening ceremony of the congress on December 16.

In the message, the Chinese Communist Party spoke highly of the unremitting efforts ZANU-PF made in promoting political, economic and social development in Zimbabwe.

The Chinese party also praised the southern African country, under the leadership of ZANU-PF, for persisting in its own choice of development path and its active role in safeguarding peace and stability in the country and the region.

The message said that the two parties have shared sympathy and support in the past years and forged their profound friendship, which have and will continue to promote the relations between the two developing countries, it added.
