Culture Ancient Frescos Found in North China

Chinese archaeologists recently found 200 square meters of frescos in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region when excavating three tombs of the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220 A.D.).

Located in Ih Ju League in the western areas of Inner Mongolia, the frescos mainly depict the life of Hun people, an ethnic minority of China in ancient times, who lived south to the Yellow River.

Experts said that the frescos are in good condition, thanks to the arid climate in the region. They will provide new clues for research into the minority people living in north China in ancient times.
