World China, Vietnam Announce Land Boundary Issue Solved

All the existing land boundary issues between China and Vietnam have been solved with a formal treaty expected to be signed soon, it was announced in Hanoi, December 3.

Substantive negotiations have been concluded, said a joint official announcement.

In line with a consensus reached between the communist party general secretaries of the two countries last February, both sides will concentrate on the drafting of the treaty, trying their best to hopefully see it signed before the end of the year, said the announcement.

The announcement was made on the third day of Chinese Premier

Zhu Rongji's four-day visit to Vietnam.
