Monday, November 22, 1999, updated at 09:55(GMT+8) Sports China Books All Berths in Women's Doubles Title Match Two Chinese doubles pairs defeated their respective semifinal opponents for an all-Chinese title match at the Swedish Open table tennis tournament on Saturday. Zhang Yining and Zhang Yingying, outpowered their Japanese rivals Rinkos Akata and Kazuko Naito 21-16 and 21-14 following a 2- 1 victory over South Korean Ruy Ji Hye and Lee Eun Sil in the quarterfinals early this morning. Sun Jin and Yang Ying secured the other final spot by beating Park Hae Jung and Kim Koo Kyo of South Korea after their two-set straight victory over teammates Niu Jianfeng and Jia Beibei in the quarterfinals. Another Chinese doubles pair of Li Nan and Lin Ling were eliminated by Japanese Rinko Sakata and Kazuko Naito in the quarterfinals. In the women's singles quarterfinals, Yang Ying defeated Li Jia Wei of Singapore 21-17, 21-17 and 21-16, Lin Ling outbeat teammate Zhang Yining 19-21, 21-10, 21-10 and 21-6, Sun Jin eliminated Sun Eun Mi of South Korea 21-15, 21-13 and 21-10, while Souht Korea Ryu Ji Hye booked the other semifinal spot by beating Chire Koyama of Japan 19-21, 21-14, 21-18 and 21-19. In the men's doubles semifinals, Chinese Liu Guozheng and Tan Duanwu defeated teammate Feng Ze who paired with Singaporean Duan Yong Jun 14-21, 21-15 and 21-10, for a title match against Jean Philippe Gatien and Patrick Chila of France who downed Wang Liqun and Yan Sen 21-19, 14-21, 21-13. Chinese Kong Linghui and Wang Liqun booked their semifinals tickets in the men's singles competitions, to clash against Torben Wosik of Germany and Gatien of France respectively. Kong defeated Chiang Peng of Chinese Taipei, 21-23, 21-16, 21- 17, while Wang outclassed teammate Ma Lin 28-26, 14-21, 21-16, 21- 16. The Swedish Open will conclude on Sunday.
