Business Jiangsu Province Provides Economic Support For Tibet

Jiangsu Province has so far spent 135 million yuan supporting 157 projects in Lhasa, capital of Tibet Autonomous Region.

Jiangsu's support is part of the Central Government's drive since 1994 for economically successful provinces such as Jiangsu to provide assistance to economically-backward regions in China.

Jiangsu has funded pharmaceutical plants, hospitals, schools, roads, health care centers and construction projects in Lhasa. By the end of July this year, Jiangsu also provided 7.98 million yuan worth of goods to Lhasa. (Xinhua)
