Culture Popular Japanese Singers Continue Asian Tour

Japan's most popular singers, Chage and Aska, will perform in Beijing on November 19 and 20.

The two pop stars are continuing their Asian tour in Beijing following performances in Shanghai at China's First International Art Festival which attracted many fans, most of them young people.

After gaining fame in 1978, Chage and Aska have remained at the top of the Asian charts, winning a multitude of fans with their romantic style.

The two middle-aged Japanese men began staging large-scale concerts in 1993, and their Asian tour in 1994 drew more than 600, 000 people in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.

Chage and Aska have written over 200 songs and have put out 28 albums. More than two million of their albums have been sold in the Asian market.

The Capital Gymnasium has prepared state-of-the-art sound and light equipment for the two performances.
