Lianhua bridge, which connects the south Chinese city of Zhuhai with Macao is expected to be open to the public by the end of the month.

The major part of the bridge is 1,800 meters long. The project was sponsored by Zhuhai and Macao, beginning in September last year. The bridge is a gift to celebrate the handover of Macao to the motherland from December 20. (Xinhua)
