China Burundi President Arrives in Beijing

Burundi President Pierre Buyoya arrived in Beijing on the morning of November 15 for a five-day state visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Jiang Zemin.

After a brief stopover in Beijing, President Buyoya and his party traveled to tour east China's Shandong province and Qinghai province in northwest China.

President Jiang and President Buyoya are expected to confer on Sino-Burundi relations and other issues of common concern later this week.
