Editorial Eliminating The Evil Right To The End

The People's Daily will carries a commentary on November 5, titled "Eliminating The Evil Right To The End. " The commentary says that the nationwide fight against the Falun Gong sect has won a decisive victory, with the cult having been banned and the majority of its practitioners waking up to their errors.

"However, we should remain level-headed that a handful of practitioners are still crazy about the sect, while a few key members of the Falun Gong cult are still putting up a desperate struggle. Some have even gone so far as to go on hunger strike to pressure the government," the commentary says.

All evidence indicates that the Falun Gong is thoroughly and completely a cult organization that can cause great harm. "We should not relax efforts, otherwise the dying cinders would glow again." the article says.

The fight against Falun Gong is a long-term and arduous one. The nature of the cult is heretical; its energy, stubbornness and destructive power all lie in heresy.

Painstaking efforts must therefore be made to sway blind followers from the cult's influence. The sect has set up secret echelons and contacted anti-China forces overseas in an attempt to oppose the government, the article says.

"On this major political issue that concerns the fate of the nation and the people as well as reform and the great cause of building socialist modernization, we should never lower our guard and become careless, otherwise we might commit unforgivable historical mistakes," the commentary warns.

To fight the battle to the end, further endeavors should be made to expose the cult's true nature of anti-science, anti- humanity, anti-society, and anti-government," the article says.

In wiping out the cult, laws and regulations adopted by related government departments and judicial and procuratorial organs must be observed, the commentary says.

The commentary warns that it would be terrible if anyone was willing to take their own life out of loyalty for Li Hongzhi, the cult founder.

"Our ultimate aim is to win the fight against the Falun Gong cult," the commentary says.
