China Spokeswoman on China's Vote For Sanction Against Taliban

China voted at UN for a sanction against the Taliban because China opposes any form of terrorism, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue said in Beijing November 4 afternoon at the regular press conference.

Although China in principle does not favor using sanctions against any party, she said, it has always opposed terrorist actions.

China has, therefore, actively participated in the discussion and consultation on issues of Afghanistan, and voted for the sanction against the Taliban, she said. (Xinhua)
