The result of appraisal of the best exhibition prize for outdoor gardens, the highest prize of the China '99 Kunming International Horticulture Exposition, was published on October 31. The outdoor gardens of China's Shandong and Guangdong provinces, and France and Japan won the prize. The 1720-sq.m.¡°Qilu Garden¡±of Shandong, which is decorated with the replicas of Qilu archway, and Taishan Mountain and Baotuquan Spring and the portrait of Confucius, embody the connotation of culture and the unique horticultural style of Shandong Province.
