NPC Chairman Meets Thai Visitors
Li Peng, chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, met with a delegation of former Thai ambassadors to China in Beijing on October 26 afternoon.
Li spoke highly of the smooth, comprehensive development of Sino-Thai relations since the two countries forged diplomatic ties 24 years ago. He said he appreciates the contribution made by the former ambassadors to the friendly cooperation between the two countries.
Li said he hopes that bilateral cooperative relations will be furthered with the joint efforts of both sides.
Kasem Samosorn Kasemsri, former Thai deputy prime minister and Thailand's first Ambassador to China, noted China's enormous achievements over the past several years. He said that he would continue to work for the growth of Thailand-China relations. (Xinhua)
