Taiwan Jolted Again by Quake Measuring 5.3 Degrees
����An earthquake measuring 5.3 degrees on the Richter scale jolted Nantou, Taiwan early October 19.
����The moderate quake occurred around Nantou county on the island of Taiwan at 00:00 Beijing time, with the epicenter located at 24. 1 north latitude and 121.0 east longitude, China's network of seismic stations reported.
����Earlier, the island was also rocked by a smaller earthquake measuring 5.1 degrees at 23:31, October 18, Beijing time, according to the network. On September 21, Taiwan was hit by a devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6, which left at least 2,300 people dead, 10,000 injured, 100,000 homeless.
