Guideline for Key Fields in High-Tech Industrialization Issued in China
A guideline for key fields in high-tech industrialization, the first guidance document of its kind, was issued July 14 by the State Development Planning Commission. Some 138 fields have been designated as key fields in high-tech development of this and next year.
Home-made mobile telecom system, digital high-definition television, software development, domestic urban track communication facilities and other five fields and some model industrialization projects have been determined as the first group in the guideline.
Modern agriculture, information technology, new material, new energy and advanced mechanical technology are among the model industrialization projects, according to an official with the commission.
The State will not only grant tax exemptions and reductions to units to importing foreign equipment for high-tech programs, but also give support in various forms as program capital, loan interest deduction, risk subsidy and development capital input.
A high-tech industry database is to be established for the convenience of governments and enterprises, the official noted.
