Chinese Community in France Condemns Lee Teng-hui's Allegations

A French newspaper nouvelles d'europe on July 13 published quotations of some overseas Chinese leaders, who condemned Lee Teng-hui's allegations that the cross-strait relations should be "state-to-state" or at least "special state-to-state relations".

Yang Min, chairman of the Overseas Chinese Association in France, said Lee Teng-hui's remark further exposed his wild ambition to split Taiwan from China. Moreover, it proved that Lee's previous claim "not to seek Taiwan's independence" a total lie to the Taiwan people and the international community.

Wei Hexiang, chairman of the Teo Chew association in France pointed out that Lee's allegations aimed deliberately to invoke conflicts on cross-strait relations.
