Lee Teng-hui's Separatist Allegations Condemned Nationwide

Media and public figures of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao have these days expressed their outrages over Lee Teng-hui's latest separatist allegations undermining current cross-Strait relations.

Ta Kung Pao, Wen Wei Pao and Ming Pao of Hong Kong, China Times of Taiwan, and Macao Daily all published editorials criticizing Lee as undermining the peace and stability between the both sides of the Straits. They warned that if Lee doesn't stop his separatist behavior, he will become a criminal betraying the motherland and the whole Chinese people.

A number of scholars and celebrities in the three regions denounced Lee's remarks, saying that Lee and the Taiwan authorities should rein in at the brink of the precipice and immediately cease their separatist activities.
