China Takes the Second at Women's World Cup
China women's soccer team lost to their US opponents with a 5-4 penalty shoot-out score on Saturday.
After 120 minutes of intense, scoreless fight, the host team won the title on the fifth shot of a penalty kick shoot-out.
The match drew more than 90,000 fans to the Rose Bowl, far surpassing the record attendance for a women's sporting event.
Earlier in the third-place playoff, Brazil beat Norway 5-4, also with a penalty shoot-out.
